Italy's Federica Brignone won the
Super-G at Cortina d'Ampezzo to extend her record as the
winningest Italian female skier to 31 World Cup victories, with
only men's legend Alberto Tomba ahead of the 34-year-old
Milanese on 50.
Brignone's win came after Sofia Goggia's success in the Cortina
downhill Saturday.
Behind Brgnone, her great Swiss rival Lara Gut-Behrami came
second and the other Swiss Corinne Suter third.
For Brignone, it is the fourth victory of the season and
consolidates, after her third place in the Cortina downhill, her
lead in the general classification with 639 points.
For Italy Sunday there was also Elena Curtoni's 4th place in the
Super-G.
Sofia Goggia, the 32-year-old from Bergamo who won Italian
women's first Olympic gold in 2018, on the other hand, was not
perfect and finished 7th.
