A 38-year-old man of Nigerian origin
got life imprisonment Wednesday for raping and murdering a
61-year-old Rovereto woman, Iris Setti, in a public park in the
northeastern Italian city on the evening of August 5, 2023.
The man, Chukwuka Nweke, was found guilty of aggravated murder,
robbery an sexual violence.
Nweke is a known abuser of drugs and alcohol.
Italy is enduring an alarming spate of femicides.
