Pope Francis's prognosis as he battles
pneumonia in a Rome hospital is still guarded and he received
the Ash Wednesday ashes marking the start of Lent Wednesday, the
Vatican said.
"In consideration of the complexity of the clinical picture,
the prognosis remains reserved", says the evening bulletin on
the conditions of the Pope hospitalized at Gemelli.
"This morning, in the private apartment located on the 10th
floor, the Holy Father participated in the rite of blessing of
the Sacred Ashes that were imposed on him by the celebrant, then
he received the Eucharist", it is reported.
"He then dedicated himself to some work activities".
