Italy's labour inspectorate on Sunday
suspended fines levied on some doctors at the Policlinico
Hopsital in Bari for working overtime during the COVID-19
pandemic, after a big row.
The National Labour Inspectorate has suspended the proceedings
on some doctors at the Policlinico di Bari, fined for having
worked over the allowed limit during the pandemic period,
announced Labour Minister Marina Calderone.
Calderone said she had had a phone conversation with President
Sergio Mattarella on the case earlier Sunday.
Her ministry said she will meet the president of the National
Federation of the Order of Surgeons and Dentists, Filippo
Anelli, at the ministry on Tuesday 24 October.
