Zoran Milanović received 74.68%
of the votes in the Croatian presidential election runoff for a
second five-year term, supported by opposition centre and
centre-left parties, according to final counting data released
by the National Election Commission (DIP). This is the best
result ever obtained by a presidential candidate in Croatia.
Dragan Primorac, a doctor and scientist from the conservative
party led by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković who has been in
government for nearly nine years, received 25.32 percent of the
vote. The turnout was low, reaching 44.18%.
