Oles Horordetskyy, president of the
Ukrainian Catholic Association in Italy, told ANSA Saturday that
they were with President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Ukrainian
people "who were humiliated yesterday in the US" by President
Donald Trump's White House row with their leader.
"We invite all Italians, regardless of political affiliation,
those who believe in the values ;;of freedom, dignity and the
rule of law to participate in the demonstrations in Milan today
in front of the US Consulate and tomorrow in Piazza dei
Mercanti, in Rome tomorrow afternoon in Piazza Santi Apostoli,
and in Ravenna and other Italian cities," said Horordetskyy.
"Europe must wake up, the time has come to defend itself. There
will be no political flags, but Italian, Ukrainian and European
ones. We are with Zelensky and the Ukrainian people who were
humiliated yesterday in the US".
