Funerals were held on Monday for
two Turin victims of last Wednesday's terrorist attack at the
Bardo museum in Tunis, amidst crowds, applause, and flowers from
the Tunisian and Italian governments.
The funerals for Orazio Conte and Antonella Sesino were
officiated by the archbishop of Turin, Monsignor Cesare
Nosiglia, who appealed to those present to "believe in a world
founded on individual and collective behaviors oriented towards
love and not egotism ... so the sacrifice of the dearly departed
that we're crying for today won't have been in vain," he said.
Three gunmen, one of whom the Tunisian government says is
currently on the run, killed 23 people in last week's attack, 19
of whom were foreign tourists.
