A country club bartender in
Ohio was charged with threatening to murder U.S. House of
Representatives Speaker John Boehner, sources said Tuesday.
Michael Hoyt, 44, allegedly blamed Boehner for the fact
that he lost his job in October.
Once taken into custody, Hoyt claimed to be Jesus and said
the devil told him Boehner was "evil" and responsible for the
Ebola virus outbreak.
Hoyt also reportedly told police he regretted not having
poisoned Boehner while tending bar at the country club where the
Republican representative from Ohio is a member.
Police found a Beretta pistol in Hoyt's car, rounds of
ammunition at his home and an assault rifle at his mother's
house. Hoyt also reportedly had a history of mental illness and
had stopped taking his medication after being treated for a
psychotic episode six months ago.
