Seven-time European champions AC Milan will face Feyenoord in the playoffs for a slot on the last-16 of the Champions League, while Turin giants Juventus were drawn against PSV Eindhoven on Friday.
Europa League champions Atalanta will take on Club Brugge in the playoffs. There had been the risk that Milan and Juve would be pitched against each other in the playoffs on the basis of how they finished in the league.
Serie A champions Inter were the only one of Italy's representatives in Europe's premier club competition to finish in the top eight of the league stage and qualify directly for the last 16.
