New Napoli coach Antonio Conte gave
a message in Neapolitan dialect on Friday via the club's
website.
"I only have one thing to say, not just to the fans, but to
whole Neapolitan scene," Conte said.
"Amma faticà! (We have to work!)".
The former Juventus, Chelsea, Inter and Italy boss has signed a
contract running until June 2027 with the three-time Italian
champions.
He has the job of turning the team around after they got through
three coaches last season during their dire defence of the Serie
A title they won in the 2022-23 campaign.
"If you says Naples to me, many things come to mind," said
Conte, who comes from Lecce, another southern Italian city.
"It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and the
Neapolitans are a people of passion.
"I know it will be a wonderful experience, both in football and
in life terms, and I have great enthusiasm and a desire to
experience it".
