Italy's Dominik Paris won the world cup downhill on his favourite home course at Bormio on Tuesday.
It was the 20th world cup win for Paris, 32, who has triumphed seven times on the storied Stelvio, six in the downhill and one in the superG.
The Azzurro now leads the world cup downhill standings.
Switerland's Marco Odermatt, who leads the overall standings, was second, and his countryman Niels Hintermann third.
"I really like the Stelvio, I feel secure here," said Paris, the 2019 world superG champ.
"This year, too, it was hard, tough, but when you give your all you're satisfied at the finish. I hope to grow more, to improve but my skiing is going well: my confidence is coming back.
"Today, with more aggression, I also improved in those bits up top where I hadn't been satisfied on the trial runs. And now let's see with the superG, starting with tomorrow's".
