The board of State broadcaster
RAI on Thursday approved Director General Campo Dall'Orto's
nominations for the new heads of the TG2 and TG3 news services
on the RAI2 and RAI3 channels, ANSA sources said.
As a result Ida Colucci takes over TG2 in the place of
Marcello Masi and Luca Mazzà replaces Bianca Berlinguer at TG3.
Andrea Montanari has been put in charge of Gr-Radio1,
Nicoletta Manzione is new head of RAI Parlamento.
Mario Orfeo stays at the helm of RAI1's TG1 and Vincenzo
Morgante stays on at the TGR regional news service
Six board members voted in favour of the appointments,
three against.
The appointments are controversial. Opposition parties
argue that Premier Matteo Renzi's government is trying to muffle
dissent ahead of this autumn's referendum on its package to
overhaul Italy's political machinery.
