Dall'Orto is set to propose Ida Colucci and Luca Mazzà be the
new chiefs of the TG2 and TG3 news services on the State
broadcaster's RAI2 and RAI3 channels, ANSA sources said on
Wednesday.
A RAI board meeting has been called for Thursday to
discuss the appointments, among other issues.
Colucci and Mazzà would replace Marcello Masi and Bianca
Berlinguer respectively.
The new appointments are controversial.
Opposition parties argue that Premier Matteo Renzi's
government is trying to muffle dissent ahead of this autumn's
referendum on its package to overhaul Italy's political
machinery.
