The inauguration of the new Tourist Info Point was held yesterday in Junik, an initiative realised within the 'NaturKosovo' project, with the support of the Italian government and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
Located in the heart of the Municipality of Junik, famous for its extraordinary natural and cultural heritage at the foot of the Albanian Alps, the Info Point will become a key reference point for visitors.
It will offer useful information on hiking routes, accommodation facilities and cultural and nature activities, promoting sustainable and responsible tourism.
"This Info Point is not just an information point, but a bridge between the territory and visitors, a meeting point between tradition and innovation.
Thanks to this initiative, Junik is confirmed as a key destination for sustainable tourism, capable of enhancing its natural and cultural resources while creating concrete opportunities for local communities," said the Italian Ambassador to Kosovo, Antonello De Riu, during the inaugural event.
The Junik Info Point is a concrete example of how responsible tourism can be a resource for the territory and an engine of economic and social growth, making the mountains of Kosovo an increasingly well-known and internationally appreciated destination.
naturKosovo' is a project financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation with the support of the Italian Embassy in Pristina, implemented by Volunteers in the World RTM and CELIM Milan in collaboration with the Italian Alpine Club, the Italian National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps, the Italian Association for Responsible Tourism and the Utalaya Foundation.
