A screening of Gianluca Jodice's film 'Il Cattivo Poeta' will be held at Casa Italia in Hanoi on Tuesday 25 March at 6.30pm. This was announced by the Italian Embassy in Vietnam.
The film tells the story of the last years of Gabriele D'Annunzio's life (played by Sergio Castellitto) and the relationship he has with Giovanni Comini (Francesco Patanè), a young federal officer in charge of watching over the tired and restless poet so that he does not get in the way of Benito Mussolini's political and military plans. The film, nominated in the "best new director" category at the David di Donatello 2022 and winner of two Nastri d'Argento for best photography and best costumes, paints a never-before-seen portrait of one of the most important cultural - but also political - figures of the Italian 20th century.
At the end of the screening there will be a convivial moment with the tasting of Italian food and wine as part of the 'Sentiero diVino' initiative, in collaboration with Viet-It Wines and Caffè Italia.
