It is entitled 'Fast Italy - Art and Design of the 20th Century', the exhibition opening on 22 June at the Museum of Modern Art in Troyes, 150 kilometres from Paris on the occasion of the Olympics. The exhibition is a selection from the collection of works of the Massimo and Sonia Cirulli Foundation of Bologna. The exhibition, realised in synergy with the Consulate General of Italy in Metz and the Italian Cultural Institute in Strasbourg within the framework of "Paris 2024", is presented as a journey through the first sixty years of the 20th century and traces those aspects of modernity and innovation that characterised Italy. The heterogeneous composition of the works on display makes it possible to trace the richness of the artistic languages experimented during the last century: painting, sculpture, photography, collage and photocollage, advertising graphics, design drawings and design objects.
The exhibition is curated by Jeffrey T. Schnapp and Juliette Faivre-Preda and runs through 6 exhibition sections with a total of 135 works displayed in a space of over 400 square metres. The exhibition will remain open until 20 October.
