The ANSA shareholders meeting, chaired
by President Giulio Anselmi, met Wednesday in Rome and approved
the agency's 2022 balance sheet.
The balance sheet, for the fifth consecutive year, highlighted
an operating profit of 773,000 euros in 2022. Gross earnings
from sales and services remained substantially unchanged
compared to 2021.
The meeting then deliberated the increase to 24 of the number of
members of the agency's board of directors, which therefore saw
the entry of Mirja Cartia D'Asero (Il Sole 24ore spa); at the
same time, the appointment was ratified of directors Antonio
Rosario Garozzo (Domenico Sanfilippo Editore spa) and Corrado
Corradi (GEDI News Network spa), already co-opted by the board
to replace Domenica Natale, Enzo Ciancio Sanfilippo and Luigi
Vanetti, who are resigning.
President Anselmi commented with satisfaction on the agency's
positive results, which also recently saw an increase from 23 to
26 in the number of partners in the cooperative, with the entry
of Il Nuovo Manifesto, Il Centro and Edizioni del Mezzogiorno:
"This renewed interest by the publishing world in the agency,
together with the positive economic results, are the result of
the efficacy in management and the hard work provided by the
staff in a period of great difficulty such as that of the last
few years, marked by threats and concerns that are rife on the
world as well as national scene. In this situation too, ANSA has
confirmed its leadership and has continued its tradition of
credibility, reliability and guarantee of quality information
and news".
Managing Director Stefano De Alessandri thanked the partners for
their constant support and underscored that "the year which has
just ended has seen ANSA continue in its policy of broadening
its ever more widespread international presence; in tandem, we
have pressed on with technological investments and completed our
offering of services with our entry into the market of media
monitoring, thanks to the collaboration initiated with Volocom.
"The results attained," he concluded, "confirm the efficacy of
our industrial strategy and encourage us to continue in the
direction embarked on".
