A theatre tour to mark 400 years
since the death of English playwright William Shakespeare is set
to be held in Milan on April 4-23.
The tour will bring some of Shakespeare's most famous
plays, including Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet, to bars, hostels
and cultural centres in the city.
Organised by actor Davide Lorenzo Palla, the 19-date tour
revisits the famous plays with his own unique twist.
"A bottom-up cultural relaunch is of fundamental
importance: theatre rediscovers its own roots and original
function among the people," Palla said during the presentation
of the tour at Milan's Teatro Carcano.
Performance locations are set to include Santeria Social
Club, Bar Doria and Nordest Caffè.
