A mother threw her seven-month-old
baby girl to her death from the balcony of her home in the
Sicilian town of Misterbianco, near Catania, on Wednesday,
sources said.
Carabinieri police took the woman, who may have been suffering
from depression, into custody, the sources said.
The child's father needed medical attention and was taken to
hospital.
