INPS said Wednesday that the average
monthly amount of the new State pensions it issued for women in
the first quarter of 2025 was 1,011 euros, 31.97% lower than
the average of 1,486 euros for men.
The pensions and social security agency said the average for men
was up from 1,457 in 2024 as a whole, while the average for
women actually dropped from 1,033.
As a result, the gap between men and women's pensions increased,
after coming in at 29.1% in 2024.
INPS said it activated 194,582 new pensions in the first quarter
of 2025, with the average amount being 1,237 euros per month, up
slightly from the 2024 average of 1,229 euros.
