Paolo Scaroni, former CEO of energy giant Eni and current chairman of AC Milan soccer club, was tapped Wednesday as new president of electricity giant Enel, returning to a group he managed as CEO in 2002-2005.
The Vicenza-born businessman and industrial executive, 76, was
nominated by the Enel AGM with over 97% of voting capital in his
favour.
Scaroni serve as Eni CEO from 2005 to 2014 and has been
president of AC Milan, formerly owned by three-time ex-premier
and media mogul Silvio Berlusconi, since 2018 when the club was
taken over by Elliott Management Corporation of the USA.
