The third skier hit by an avalanche
Sunday on the Forcella Giau above San Vito di Cadore near
Cortina d'Ampezzo has been rescued.
The man, who is in critical condition, has been taken to
hospital, according to preliminary information.
The avalanche hit a group of three skiers on the Forcella Giau
in the Dolomites while a fourth skier immediately started
searching for his companions and called rescue services.
Two skiers were first rescued from under the snow, including one
who was conscious and another who was reported to be in critical
condition.
Alpine rescue services later tracked down the third skier.
