Italy must increase its spending on
defence to at least 2% of GDP, Deputy Premier and Foreign
Minister Antonio Tajani said Friday.
"We must adjust our defense spending to reach at least 2%",
Tajani said on the sidelines of an institutional visit to the
Carabinieri in Castel Gandolfo.
"To do this, it is necessary that everything we invest in
defence is excluded from the Stability Pact", the centre right
Forza Italia (FI) leader said.
