Premier Giorgia Meloni's speech in a
video link to the Conservative Political Action Conference in
Washington Saturday will be excellent and former Trump aide
Steve Bannon didn't make a Nazi salute at the gathering Thursday
night, the secretary general of her European Conservatives and
Reformists (ECR) group and Brothers of Italy (FdI) MP Antonio
Giordano told ANSA on the phone Friday.
"I have no reason to believe that anything will change with
respect to Giorgia Meloni's speech" at CPAC, "which will be
excellent as always", he said.
"I was in the audience during Bannon's speech and it didn't seem
to me at all that he made a Nazi salute. I would invite the left
to stop arguing about nothing and to discuss ideas", adds
Giordano.
Opposition MPS have called on Meloni to pull out of the event
after Bannon's alleged gesture prompted French National Rally
leader Jordan Bardella to scrub his speech to CPAC.
