company Aelia Lagardere on Tuesday denied press reports that it
was in talks with centre-left opposition Democratic Party (PD)
bigwig Piero Fassino aimed at dropping a theft complaint against
the 74-year-old former Turin mayor and ex head of a PD
predecessor party, the Left Democrats.
"At the current time there are no negotiations (with Fassino)",
who company staff accused of stealing a perfume sample, it said.
Fassino says he put the sample in his pocket by mistake and then
forgot he had it on him when he left the shop.
