Foreign Minister and Deputy Premier
Antonio Tajani on Sunday expressed his strong condemnation for
the gun attack on the church of St Mary in Istanbul in which one
man was killed.
"I express my condolences and firm condemnation for the cowardly
attack in the church of Saint Mary in Istanbul," wrote Tajani on
X, formerly Twitter.
"The Farnesina (the foreign ministry in Rome, ed.) is following
the situation with the embassy in Ankara and the consulate in
Istanbul, and I am certain that the Turkish authorities will
arrest those responsible," he added.
