Italian Federica Brignone sped to
victory in the women's FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup Super G race
in Val d'Isère on Sunday, claiming her 24th career victory and
her third win this season.
The Italian, with a fast but elegant skiing style, won in
1.21.58, ahead of Norway's Kajsa Vickhoff Lie (1.22.02) and
Italy's Sofia Goggia (1.22.17).
Also for Italy, Laura Pirovano from Trentino came seventh
(1.28.38).
Following Sunday's victory, Brignone has consolidated her second
position in the overall ranking with 557 points against American
Mikaela Shiffrin's 620.
