The autopsy on the body of Giulia
Cecchettin, the 22-year-old Padua university biomedical student
murdered by her ex boyfriend Filippo Turetta on November 11,
will be performed on December 1 at the Institute of Pathological
Anatomy at the university hospital in Padua, sources close to
the investigation have said.
Meanwhile it has been decided to hold the funeral not in her
birth town of Saonara near Padua as originally planned, but in
the provincial capital due to the large turnout expected for the
occasion.
The date of the ceremony has not yet been set.
Cecchettin will be buried in Saonara cemetery next to her mother
Monica, who died just over a year ago.
