The province of Trento has come top of the 24th quality of life in Italy ranking compiled by Italia Oggi with Rome's La Sapienza University and Cattolica Assicurazioni.
Trento moved up from second place last year after registering
levels of excellence on eight of the nine parameters used for
the ranking (work and business; environment; education and
training; income and wealth; social security; free time).
It replaces Parma at the top of the index after the
Emilia-Romagna province dropped down to seventh.
The ranking showed a massive north-south diving in quality of
life.
No southern region made the top 32.
The bottom of the ranking was dominated by southern provinces,
with Crotone coming last out of 107.
