Rome police on Friday executed
warrants imposing restrictive measures on five more people for
alleged involvement in the October 9 assault on the headquarters
of the CGIL trade union during a protest against the Green Pass
COVID-19 health certificate.
Among them was Nicola Franzoni, a leading figure in Italy's
anti-vax movement linked to the far-right, who was jailed.
Friday's warrants are on top of 25 previously executed.
Roberto Fiore, the leader of far-right party Forza Nuova (FN),
and FN's Rome chief Giuliano Castellino are among 13 people to
have already been sent to trial over the shocking attack on the
union HQ.
