Sanremo Music Festival
co-host Virginia Raffaele impersonated Roman actress Sabrina
Ferilli on festival's opening night stage, garnering praise from
the actress herself on Wednesday.
"I thought I was at home and instead I turned on the TV and
I discovered that I was at Sanremo," Ferilli said.
"Virginia Raffaele is number one. Intelligent, sharp,
beautiful," Ferilli said, adding a typical expression in Roman
dialect, which she is widely known for, to seal her approval.
Raffaele confirmed receiving the message.
"Sabrina Ferilli wrote me 'tacci tua', with a bunch of
smile and heart emojis: concise, in her style and in her
language, a beautiful thing," Raffaele said.
When asked if she'd impersonate someone different every
night of the five-evening broadcast, she said "let's see how
long my face holds up".
"This morning I look like a frog for the various prostheses
I have to put on and take off," she said.
"We'll see which one is most convincing".
Raffaele is sharing hosting duties at Sanremo with
television presenter Carlo Conti, Italian actor Gabriel Garko
and Romanian actress and model Madalina Ghenea, who asked to be
impersonated as well.
"It's difficult," Raffaele jokingly told her.
"I have to study you".
