A special train will link Pitti Immagine Uomo and Milano Moda Uomo, i.e.
two major fairs in the menswear capitals of Florence and Milan.
The so-called Fashion Train - an 11-carriage, 540-seat
high-speed Frecciarossa train - will ferry buyers and press from
Pitti Uomo, which takes place June 16-19 at Florence's the
Fortezza da Basso, to their next destination in Milan.
The free, exclusive service comes with a red carpet at the
track, porters and a hostess at every carriage, and top-notch
catering courtesy of chef Carlo Cracco.
There will also be musicians, magicians, and an open bar
with cocktails and fresh fruit.
Passengers will receive a free copy of Cracco's latest book
on arrival.
The Fashion Train is promoted by the Florence Center for
Italian Fashion and made possible with grants from the industry
ministry and the Italian Trade Commission (ICE).
