The Vatican said Tuesday that the
Roman Curia's Lenten spiritual exercises will begin on Sunday
in its Paul VI Hall "in spiritual communion" with Pope Francis,
who is being treated for bilateral pneumonia at Rome's Gemelli
hospital.
The meditations will be proposed by Father Roberto Pasolini,
Preacher of the Pontifical Household, on the theme of 'The hope
of eternal life'.
Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni stressed that the theme "had been
chosen beforehand and has no connection with the situation of
these days".
