Last night, Pope Francis was
honoured with a mass at Trieste's Sant'Antonio Taumaturgo
Church. In the packed church, the bishop of Trieste, Msgr.
Enrico Trevisi, began the rite by asking for forgiveness and
emphasising that Francis' "strength" and "courage" came from the
Gospel: "Concrete, current, fascinating even for today, even if
uncomfortable and thus often ignored." Raško Radović, the
Serbian Orthodox parish priest in Trieste, and Gregorio
Miliaris, the Greek Orthodox parish priest, also attended the
mass.
