Poland is Friuli Venezia Giulia's
seventh largest trading partner by export value and 12th largest
by import. According to the Confindustria Udine Studies Office,
regional exports to Poland in 2024 grew by 12.4% compared to
2023 (from 628 to 706 million), driven by the metallurgy
products sector (from 191 million in 2023 to 251 in 2024, +31%).
Imports from Poland increased in 2024 compared to 2023 by 6.6
percent (from 272 to 290 million).
A Polish delegation led by the honorary consul for
Fvg-Veneto, Marco Ferruzzi Balbi, accompanied by the vice
president of Confindustria Poland, Alessandro Saglio, visited
Confindustria Udine. The meeting, said Confindustria Udine's
deputy vice president, Chiara Valduga, "represents another
valuable opportunity to consolidate the dialogue already started
between our production systems. The potential for cooperation
between Fvg and Poland is concrete and constantly growing."
Also three representatives of the Kostrzyńsko-Słubicka (K-S)
special economic zone took part in the meeting and explained the
main competitive advantages offered by the K-S Zes to Italian
companies.
