"Lithuania and Poland face the same
geopolitical challenges and must respond to similar threats. We
must act jointly to strengthen border protection, increase our
civil defense capabilities, and at the same time increase our
common resilience to hybrid attacks. Close regional cooperation
is the basis for the security of us all." Lithuanian Interior
Minister Wladislaw Kondratowicz said at the end of a bilateral
meetig with his Polish counterpart, Tomasz Siemoniak, today in
Warsaw.
In this regard, Kondratowicz and Siemoniak stressed the
importance of implementing cross-border cooperation to increase
the impermeability of the EU's eastern borders.
