Reports that children in Gaza had
operations for their injuries without anaesthetics are not
propaganda, doctors at Genoa's Gaslini Children's Hospital said
after treating the first arrivals from the Strip Tuesday.
"You ca see the suffering in the eyes of the girls, they are
very, very affected, you have to think that what they said it
not at all propaganda, said intensive care chief Andrea
Moscatelli after three girls were treated there.
Three other children have been taken to the Meyer Children's
Hospital in Florence, and four to Rome's Vatican Bambino Gesù.
They are the first 10 of around 100 Gazan kids Italy has agreed
to take in and treat amid a grave lack of basis health services
on the Strip due to the Israeli bombardment.
