Queen Elizabeth II celebrated
her 90th birthday on Thursday as messages and tributes poured in
from around the world.
She spent the day in Windsor where she took part in a
walkabout with her husband the Duke of Edinburgh, as artillery
companies up and down the country fired royal gun salutes.
In the House of Commons British Premier David Cameron paid
tribute to the Queen, describing her as "a rock of strength for
our nation" and the Commonwealth.
Meanwhile, three official photographs by celebrity
photographer Annie Leibovitz were released, including one
showing the Queen surrounded by her five great-grandchildren and
her two youngest grandchildren.
