AS Roma missed the chance to pull
level on points with second-placed Inter when they suffered a
surprise 4-3 home defeat to Sassuolo on Sunday while Juventus
continued their good form by beating bottom side Sampdoria 4-2
in Turin.
Jose Mourinho's side played the whole of the second half in 10
after Marash Kumbulla was sent off for kicking Sassuolo's
Domenico Berardi just before the break, in the process conceding
a penalty that Berardi converted.
Juventus had Adrien Rabiot's double to thank for their victory
over Samp, who came back from 2-0 down to pull level at one
stage, before the hosts eased away in the closing stages.
The Turin giants, who have had 15 points deducted for financial
irregularities,
are seventh with 38 points from 26 games.
Fourth-placed AC Milan can move up to 50 points, level with
Inter, if they beat Salernitana at home later on Monday.
Leaders Napoli stretched their lead at the top of the table to
18 points with a 2-0 win over Atalanta on Saturday.
