Italy wing-back Alessandro Florenzi
had surgery on Wednesday after injuring the meniscus in his left
knee playing for AC Milan in the Serie A leaders' 0-0 draw with
Bologna on Monday, the club said
"AC Milan can confirm that Alessandro Florenzi today underwent
an arthroscopic operation on his left knee, conducted by Dr
Piero Paolo Mariani," read a club statement.
"The meniscectomy, undertaken with AC Milan club doctor Lucio
Genesio in attendance, was successful.
"Alessandro will commence the rehabilitation process right
away".
