Romeìs long awaited waste-to-energy
plant is back on track after a rejigged project was approved by
the boards of two municipal energy companies Monday.
The boards of directors of Acea and Acea Ambiente met and
approved the remodelled proposal of the WTE project for Rome's
waste-to-energy plant, Acea sources said.
The decision comes at the end of positive discussions on the
technical and economic aspects, they said..
The group of companies involved will send the remodelled project
to Roma Capitale later Monday for final evaluation.
Green groups have opposed the project.
