Premier Giorgia Meloni on Sunday
quoted late pope John Paul II sating "I am and will be free in
spite of everything".
"John Paul II taught me many things.
I have treasured one of them and it guides my commitment.
'Freedom,' he said, 'does not
consist in doing what we like, but in having the right to do
what we must.' I am a free person, I will be in spite of
everything, and I will always try to do what I have to do" show
wrote on social media.
Meloni added: "Today is the liturgical memorial of John Paul II"
and "it also occurred on October 22, 2022, when I went up to the
Quirinale and took the oath as Prime Minister."
