The Italian Ambassador to Poland Luca Franchetti Pardo inaugurated at the Italian Cultural Institute in Warsaw the exhibition 'Italy Garden of the World. Where Nature meets Art, Craft and Design', a project on the heritage of classic and contemporary Italian gardens, produced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in cooperation with the Italian Parks and Gardens Association, the Italian Environmental Fund and the Great Italian Gardens network.
Introducing the initiative, Franchetti Pardo stressed that "Italy is an open-air garden. Its landscapes tell of centuries of harmonious dialogue between nature and culture, between environment and human ingenuity. This green heritage is not just a frame, but a protagonist of our national identity'. According to the ambassador, 'historic gardens do not only represent the past: they are dynamic spaces, areas of innovation in the landscape and environment, and ideal places to experiment with ecological practices and promote sustainable tourism'. Deputy Director of the Education Department of the Royal Palace Museum in Wilanów Nela Kokoszka then presented the influence of the Italian garden on the gardens of the Royal Palace Park in Wilanów.
