A press conference was held today in Belgrade, at the local Ice office, to present Italy's participation in the 92nd International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, in which our country will take part this year as a Strategic Partner. The 350 square metres of the 'Italian Pavilion', created by the Ice Office in Belgrade, will welcome the numerous exhibitors from our country. On 20 May, there will also be a seminar dedicated to the role of cooperatives and the sharing of advanced technologies in agriculture, organised by ICE in cooperation with the Agricultural Cooperative of Campiano, the Association of Cooperatives of Vojvodina, and Agriserbia - Ferrero.
The event will take place from 17 to 22 May 2025. In addition to the Italian Ambassador to Serbia, Luca Gori, the Director of the Belgrade Ice Office, Antonio Ventresca, the Director of the Novi Sad Fair, Slobodan Cvetkovic, and the President of the Association of Cooperatives of Vojvodina, Jelena Bizonj, also spoke at the press conference.
"The vitality of economic relations between Italy and Serbia is demonstrated by the 4.47 billion of interchange between our countries recorded in 2024, within which agri-food has a leading role with a bilateral volume that last year exceeded 642 million euros, up 18% compared to 2023," said Ambassador Gori. "Our participation as a Strategic Partner in this year's Agriculture Fair," Gori added, "focuses on the excellence of Made in Italy equipment to promote agri-tech and sustainable agriculture, already the focus sectors of the last Italy-Serbia Business Forum held in Belgrade on 31 January.
