At the Faculty of Philology "Blaže Koneski" in Skopje on 9 May, the Italian Olympiad - coordinated by the Macedonian Association of Italian Teachers - was held, this year in its fourth edition for primary schools and second for high schools. Students from all over the country who choose Italian as their second or third foreign language took part in the competition," the Italian Embassy announced in a note. The inter-school competitions involved 93 students (44 elementary and 49 high school students) in the final phase: an extraordinary result that testifies to the commitment, passion, and growing interest in the Italian language in the school system of North Macedonia.
During the certificate-giving ceremony, the Cultural Attaché, Professor Sonia Miserendino, expressed, on behalf of the Embassy, heartfelt thanks to the Association for its constant commitment, to all the tutor teachers for guiding and motivating their students, to the families for their support, and above all to all the boys and girls, winners and participants, who demonstrated enthusiasm, skills and a healthy competitive spirit.
