In the evocative setting of Palazzo Metternich, seat of the Italian Embassy in Vienna, a prestigious musical event took place on 30 April that saw
starring the Quinteto Revolucionario of the Astor Piazzolla Foundation, an outstanding ensemble dedicated to the artistic legacy of one of the greatest Argentinean masters of the 20th century.
Organised in collaboration with the Argentine Embassy in Austria, the concert represented a unique opportunity to celebrate the deep cultural bond and sincere friendship between Italy and Argentina, two peoples - as recalled
by Ambassador Pugliese in his opening greeting - united by a passion for culture, art and traditions.
In the presence of the Argentine Ambassador to Austria Gustavo Rodolfo Zlauvinen, the audience was able to immerse themselves in the unmistakable sounds of the tango nuevo, in homage to the genius of Astor Piazzolla, whose musical language - as the Italo-Argentine music producer Cristian Axt pointed out - continues to resonate strongly in the international artistic panorama.
The event underlined, once again, the central role of music as a bridge between peoples and as a privileged vehicle for intercultural dialogue.
