Italy was the star of the Piano Island Festival, which ended yesterday at the Jeonnam Sinan Jaeundo 1004 Museum Park. Prominent artists such as Maestro Andrea Bacchetti (piano), Giuseppe Nova (flute) and Alberto Profeta (tenor) performed, accompanied by a Fazioli piano, a symbol of Italian craftsmanship excellence.
The event was inaugurated with a speech by the Italian Ambassador in Seoul, Emilia Gatto, who emphasised how the festival is part of the initiatives linked to the Year of Cultural Exchange between Italy and South Korea. For the occasion, the Sinan municipality invited Italian chef Bruno Cingolani.
The event was organised by the local municipality with the collaboration of the Italian Cultural Institute of Seoul and the support of Illy Caffè.
