Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna today proposed to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas to convene an extraordinary summit of EU foreign ministers dedicated to Ukraine.
"In recent days, discussions on peace in Ukraine have become increasingly intense. The resolution of the aggression brought by Russia to Ukraine will have direct effects on the structure of European security: for this reason, I believe it is time for the EU to discuss it and urgently convene a summit," Tsahkna said in a press release.
"The EU must demonstrate with concrete steps that the pressure on Russia continues. The tightening of sanctions and the use of frozen assets are crucial in this regard," Tsahkna further said.
