The importance of the Leonardo International 2025 Prize awarded to Byung Joon Han, co-founder and ceo of Silicon Box, a Singaporean company and global leader in advanced semiconductor integration and packaging, was underlined by the Italian Ambassador to Singapore, Dante Brandi. The award went to Byung Joon Han for his contribution to our country's technological development through strategic investments. In 2024 Silicon Box, in fact, announced an investment of €3.2 billion for the construction of a semiconductor assembly and testing plant in Novara, Italy, which will generate 1,600 new highly specialised jobs.
Ambassador Brandi points out that the recognition comes on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Italy-Singapore bilateral relations.
