A recital entirely dedicated to Chopin performed by the brilliant young pianist Gabriele Strata in Warsaw's famous Chopin Salon. The concert, which will take place on Thursday, 27 February at 8.15 p.m., is part of the project 'Young musical talents in the world', promoted by the Accademia Musicale Chigiana, the International Academy Foundation 'Incontri col Maestro' of Imola and the Cidim (Italian National Music Committee), and is organised in the Polish capital by the Italian Institute of Culture in Warsaw.
"Gabriele Strata, a very young pianist from Padua, is undoubtedly one of the most interesting up-and-coming artists, and this is testified by the numerous prizes he has been awarded in recent years. He regularly performs on the most prestigious stages in Italy and abroad. His skills are unquestionable and we are certain that they will also be appreciated in Warsaw, where practically every day there is an event dedicated to Chopin, the great composer born in Poland,' explains the president of the Italian Association of Musical Activities (Aiam) and vice-president of Cidim, Francescantonio Pollice.
'Our collaboration with Cidim has enabled us to host numerous Italian musicians in Warsaw, who have always attracted the attention of the local public, so demanding and attentive when it comes to music, and in particular classical music. In the context of the Festival dedicated to the birth of Fryderyk Chopin, which every year hosts young pianists from all over the world, we are proud to present Gabriele Strata, one of the most talented artists of his generation, to celebrate the great Polish genius and underline how much his legacy is still alive in Italy,' concludes Fabio Troisi, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Warsaw.
